Images may be ordered by members of the Department of Art & Archaeology for inclusion in the Visual Resources Collection. For images ordered for personal use, please consult a Visual Resources Collection staff member for information on price and ordering policy. Images from vendors or museums may also be available. You may also select slides in the collection for scanning. Please consult the staff in Research Photographs for information on photograph orders.
- Allow three weeks when ordering images.
- Check the Almagest database and the ARTstor digital collection before ordering new digital images.
- The Image Order Form (pdf) can be filled out on your computer and either printed and brought to room 207 McCormick Hall, or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. The form is also available in hardcopy at Marquand Library. Please fill out the form completely. You may also use this form for general requests for additions to the collections.
- Locate the book in Marquand Library from which you would like the images shot. Leave the book with completed order form with a library staff member at the front desk in Marquand Library. PLEASE notify the Visual Resources Collection staff (8-3776) that you have an order to be picked up. If you are requesting images from a book not held by Marquand, please bring the book and your order form directly to the Visual Resources Collection in 207 McCormick Hall.
If you are not in the Department of Art and Archaeology and wish to place an order from a Marquand book, please contact John Blazejewski (8-2465) at the Index of Medieval Art.
